Tatted motif with lock chain. Motiefje van frivolité met een 'lock chain'.

This is a pattern from 1921 by Tina Frauberger and the instructions for it were modernised by Francis Burgess. I really like the use of the lock chain in this motif. Aren't the little bows cute? And I keep thinking isn't it a wonder that we now can have a pattern dating from 1921 to our disposal? I don't think Mrs. Frauberger could have foreseen that more that ninety years later her pattern would still be made. All over the world! The Pdf is here.

Dit patroon dateert van 1921 en is gemaakt door Tina Frauberger. Het is gemoderniseerd door Francis Burgess. Ik vind vooral het gebruik van de zog. 'lock chain' hier erg goed. Net kleine strikjes.  Het is toch eigenlijk een wonder dat nu een patroon uit 1921 zo te vinden is? Ik denk niet dat mevrouw Frauberger zich heeft kunnen voorstellen dat negentig jaar later haar patroon nog steeds wordt gemaakt. En niet alleen in Duitsland! De Pdf vind je hier.
